Archain now known as Arweave

From today onwards, we will be changing our project name from ‘Archain’ to ‘Arweave’, and we will be found at our brand new homepage of www.arweave.org.

We are making this move in order to unquestionably differentiate our project from similarly named cryptocurrency projects (Rchain and Achain, for example), and take that opportunity to place the project’s unique blockweave technology at the heart of our proposition. From a timing perspective, this is the ideal opportunity to unveil and promote the new name as we ramp up our marketing campaign towards our main sale and main network launch.

The tokens used in the system will remain known as AR.cash (ticker: AR), and there is absolutely no change or impact to the tokens held by our backers.

Rest assured that we are totally committed to our mission of building a universal platform for information permanence. Same team, same vision, same technology — just a new name.

We have been tremendously excited during our time here at Techstars at the number of new partners who share that vision with us, and recognise the value that this carries. We are really looking forward to sharing news on a number of these new partnerships and developments with you over the coming weeks and months.
