Arweave Says Farewell to Techstars Berlin

Dress rehearsal for Techstars Berin 2018 demo day — 10 tables of investors, 10 pitches!

Arweave is a high-throughput, low cost, permanent storage solution for the internet. The team is currently finishing up Techstars Berlin with a demo this Thursday for over 100 technology investors from Berlin and beyond.

While not typically known for accelerating blockchain companies, Techstars Berlin welcomed the Arweave project from the UK into their esteemed mentorship program. At the time of starting the programme, we had already launched an alpha version of the Arweave protocol and were then operating under the name Archain. With a focus on scaling up our technical progress, notably the “blockweave”, development has been progressing at a rapid pace. During the programme we have additionally concentrated on consistent branding and community, and Archain was swiftly rebranded to Arweave to further differentiate ourselves from other similarly named blockchain-related projects. Techstars has provided extra inspiration and energy, keeping us excited and on schedule for mainnet launch — now only 50 days away!

“The Techstars programme and mentorship has been fantastic, and the companies and individuals we have met are truly inspirational” — said Sam Williams, CEO of Arweave.

Arweave has also expanded its advisory panel since the beginning of the programme, through connections forged through Techstars’ enthusiastic emphasis on mentorship. These new advisors bring a vast wealth of industry experience to the project, and assist in areas such as business strategy, marketing, and in the implementation of Arweave’s vision.

This week the Arweave team will conclude our time in the three-month Techstars programme by presenting a demonstration to many expert investors. A fantastic opportunity to welcome new high-level supporters into the Arweave community, our team is excited for everything that the future will bring!
